How we use affiliate revenue

Affiliate commissions help keep ReefCrafter free. We do not hold retailer inventory or charge users to build a plan. When an affiliate relationship is active, the retailer may pay ReefCrafter a commission after a qualifying purchase through a tracked link.

How recommendations are chosen

Our compatibility engine picks gear based on reef-planning rules such as skimmer sizing, light coverage, heater wattage, flow, tank volume, and livestock needs. Recommendations are not ranked by commission rate. Where the catalog supports it, competing retailer options can appear side by side so you can choose where to buy.
